Daybreak
Daybreak gives older people the chance to socialise and take part in various activities.If you know someone who;
- is over 65,
- lives alone in the Skipton area,
- has little or no social contact,
- finds it difficult to get out and about,
- does not require nursing care,
Daybreak social day club may be able to help.
Daybreak is open on Friday's 10.00am to 1.30pm at Broughton Road Community Centre, Skipton
There is a set charge of £3.59, which includes a cooked lunch and other refreshments during the day. Transport is arranged where necessary. This is normally either by minibus or taxi. The cost of transport is extra.
Members have the opportunity to take part in a gentle exercise session and to enjoy a range of social activities, such as games, craft work, films, talks - or you may simply have a rest and quiet chat in warm, friendly surroundings.
Have you got any ideas of activities our Daybreak members could take part in? Or, would you like to join as a volunteer, please contact CVA.
