Craven Voluntary Transport

The Little Red Bus Project and Craven Community Transport amalgated in July 2006 to form Craven Voluntary Transport. They provide transport services for passengers who have special transport needs or who have little or no local transport. Responding to demand, the buses will use a door-to-door service to bring people into Skipton for shopping, social visits etc. Two low floor, wheel chair accessible minibuses provide a dial-a-ride service in Craven.

The buses currently cover three zones, which include:

Zone One:Hetton, Eastby, Bolton Abbey, Grassington, Threshfield
Zone Two:Cowling, Cross Hills, Bradley, Cononley
Zone Three:Long Preston, Hellifield, Gargrave

There are more places visited on demand so please call the Freephone number between 9.00am and 1.00pm for further information on this service.

We are always looking for volunteers so if you would like to drive the Little Red Bus, full MIDAS (MInibus Drivers Awareness Scheme) training is given and travel expenses are paid.

Craven Little Red Bus currently has a separate freephone number: 0800 917 4768

Craven Community Transport aimed to combat social exclusion and rural isolation by providing sustainable transport options for those who cannot use or do not have access to public transport or a car.

This is achieved via a Volunteer Car Scheme, a Minibus hire service for local community and voluntary organisations and providing full MIDAS (Minibus Drivers Awareness Scheme) training.

Volunteer drivers and escorts make many trips and outings possible.

Craven Community Transport currently has a separate telephone line: 01756 701045 and Fax line: 01756 701045
